FOUNDER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Born and raised in Norway, Claudia Ravnbo's childhood memories are filled with vibrant and icy landscapes, majestic fjords and the beauty of the Lofoten Islands.
She quickly discovered a passion for photography, art and design. At the age of 18, she decided to pursue her artistic ambitions and decided to move abroad to study. She began studying photography at Goldsmith College in London, then moved on to painting, which she studied at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland.
Her studies represented a period of intense learning that allowed her to develop a strong artistic soul.
From the very beginning, she cultivated her own aesthetic universe by affirming her unique style. A style that combines cultures, eras and inspirations. The Scandinavian culture is anchored in everything she wants to transmit to her clients.
SCANDINAVIAN ORIGINS
Claudia Ravnbo launched in 2015 Maison Ravn, a Parisian leather goods brand with eco-friendly values, specialized in exclusive and custom-made pieces. It is in the heart of her Parisian workshop that the creations signed Maison Ravn are brought to life
Between French handcraft and Scandinavian tradition from Norway, country of origin of the designer, the house designs luxury bags. The designs, patterns, ornaments, materials and colors are a reminder of the heritage and art of the Scandinavian culture. Yet every finished product reveals a touch of originality far removed from traditional Nordic aesthetics.
KNOW-HOW AND METICULOUSNESS
Maison Ravn is dedicated to offering unique and original pieces. Our bags are distinctive by their preciousness, our know-how and our sense of detail. Indeed, they are subject to meticulous craftsmanship and many hours of work. The embroideries on our bags are entirely handmade in our workshop.
A custom-made service is also available, it is possible for our customers to create a bag to their image by choosing the leathers of their choice, the colors, the fabrics, but also to personalize it by adding their initials.
Our intention being not to follow fashion, but to create our own.
OUR FABRICS AND LEATHERS
Our creations are a mix between rare fabrics and precious leathers selected with great care. The fabrics are sourced by our creator during her numerous travels, while the skins are from the best tanneries in France and Italy. Thus, our bags are created from materials coming from the four corners of the world. This is why our bags are particularly aimed at amateurs of rare pieces.

"Norwegian folklore and travelling. I have a thing for all cultures, and it influences my style both in terms of decoration but also in design, and creates a real eclecticism.

"Although no place gives me as much as happiness as Norway with its exceptional landscapes, I would say St Rémy de Provence, where I escape as often as possible. For me it is the ideal place to enjoy my children, the sun and take great naps."

"I love Caviar Kaspia, it’s a place where we are transported to a forgotten age, with a warm home-like atmosphere.
It’s without a doubt the restaurant where we eat the best salmon and baked potatoes with caviar."
